To use the Autosearch feature

  1. Click in the Address bar.
  2. Type go and your keyword. For example, to find information on cats, type go cats.
  3. Press Return. The default search engine is http://www.yahoo.com. You cannot use a different search engine with this feature. This link points to a site that is not under the control of Microsoft. Please read our disclaimer.

To search for text on a page

  1. On the Edit menu, choose Find.
  2. Type the text you want to find.
  3. Change any settings as needed.
  4. Click Find.
  5. To continue searching for the same text, choose Find Again from the Edit menu.

To open a file on your hard disk

  1. On the File menu, choose Open File.
  2. On the Show menu, choose the type of file you want.
  3. Find the file you want to open, and then click Open.
