Using the Autosearch feature
- Click in the Address bar.
- Type go and your keyword. For example, to find information on cats, type go cats.
- Press Return.
The default search engine is http://www.yahoo.com. You cannot use a different search engine with this feature. This link points to a site that is not under the control of Microsoft. Please read our disclaimer.

Searching for a specific place or page
- On the Edit menu, choose Find.
- Type the text you want to find.
- Change any settings as needed.
- To find only those occurances of text on the current page that match the uppercase and lowercase characters you typed in the Find box, select the Match Case check box.
- To begin searching at the top of the page, select the Start From Top check box. When this check box is cleared, Internet Explorer begins searching from the current location on the page.
- Click Find.
- To continue searching for the same text, choose Find Again from the Edit menu.
Note
- You can find text only on the current page. To search a whole Web site, use a search engine.

- Find the file you want to open, and then click Open.
